You must have your examination number and date of birth to log on to the website.
How do I get my results via SMS
If you have already provided the IEB with your cell phone number, your results will automatically be sent to that number
If not, you can register by sending an SMS to 35135 between 1 October 2017 and December 2024. Use the following text in the message:
Results Examination Number Birth Date (ccyymmdd)
Example:

You will receive a message confirming registration has been successful. Please note that SMSs cost R3,00.

Certificates
Certificates and statements of results are issued by Umalusi and are distributed by the IEB as arranged with schools.
Re-marks/Re-checks
The closing date for re-marks and re-checks is Wednesday, 10 January 2025. You can apply online at www.ieb-online.co.za for a re-mark or re-check. You must have your examination number and date of birth to log on to the website. Please refer to your statement of results for further information. The date of release of results for re-marks/re-checks is February 2024.
Supplementary examinations
Applications for supplementary examinations only open on February 2024. The closing date for learners who qualify for the supplementary examinations is 12 February 2024. The results for supplementary exams will be released on March 2024. The closing date for re-marks/re-checks of the supplementary exams is Friday, April 2024 with these results being released on April 2024.
