The mid-year (June) and final exams for grade 12 (November) are determined by outside examiners.

Music for Grade 12 is described in the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) for Agricultural Management Practices, which also describes the subject’s nature and goals. This directs the educational philosophy used to teach and evaluate the subject in Grade 12. Candidates will be required to have mastered the curriculum mentioned for Grades 10 and 11, in addition to the material from Grade 12.
